Macmillan Coffee morning
Many thanks to everyone who supported our Macmillan coffee morning either by joining us for coffee and cake, or by donating cakes or money to this worthwhile cause. Thank you also to Co-operative Funeralcare who donated the coffee, tea, sugar and milk for the coffee morning. Up to now we have raised nearly £200.
Year 6 have been learning how to be entrepreneurs. They were given a lump sum from the Friends of St Josephs to create ways of making money. The class was divided into groups and the group that made the most money kept their earnings. The pupils had a fantastic day which has helped develop team building and organisational skills
For the first time our school has been involved in the Children’s University. On Thursday 29th June a graduation ceremony took place for all children who had graduated. To graduate children participate in a broad range of academic and extra curricular activities. This helps them to grow in skills and confidence whilst developing a sense of commitment and eagerness to participate in a variety of activities. Congratulations and well done to our pupils who graduated. We are very proud of them.
