News & Events
The Choir have been practising for a few months now to perform at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester. The day finally arrived last Monday when they set off by coach soon after lunch. During the afternoon there was a practice and finally the time came for the pupils from our Choir and other Choirs from all over the North West performed the songs. The atmosphere was amazing. All the Choirs were dressed the same and all the children had small lights. When they sang the lights were dimmed and the Choirs were illuminated by the lights. Pupils, parents and staff had a wonderful evening.
We had a lovely time this Christmas. We had a delicious Christmas Dinner. Reception and Nursery performed The Woopsidaisy Angel, then Years 1 and 2 performed Call the Midwife. On Friday 12th December we had our annual Christams Fayre which raised over £800. Thank you for your support. During the final week of term, the Juniors performed Mr Humbug sees the Light. We also had Bingo and parities during the week.
On Friday 24th October we supported the wear it pink campaign. Children and adults came into school on this day wearing something pink and brought a donation of £1. A total of £244.50 was raised to support this cancer charity through donations and the sale of ‘pink’ cakes. Well done and thank you to everyone who took part and donated.
World Cup Day
Yet again, thanks to the generosity of our parents, the Friends of St Joseph’s raised over £500 (and there’s still more to be counted) by holding a sponsored World Cup Day. The money rasied by the Friends as in the past been used to purchase new football kits, playground equipment, a trip to a pantomime and a visit from a circus.
