We are proud to be involved in the Liverpool Counts Quality mark, where our aim is:

• To challenge widely held views and promote a culture where people readily understand the impact good numeracy skills and mathematics can have on the social, financial, health and employment aspects of their lives.
• To support teachers and other adults in our schools to encourage pupils to make connections in their numeracy and mathematics lessons to real life contexts and with other areas of their school experiences.

Job Vacancy

Great news!! Our school has been specially selected to take part in the Get Set British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association’s youth engagement programme.  Do you know where the Olympic and Paralympic Games are going to be held in 2020? That’s right, in Tokyo, Japan! The athletes are already hard at work, training to be as strong and fit as they can be for when they travel to Tokyo.

We would like to invite our pupils, parents and staff to get involved. We would like you to train together with the athletes, and to get your families moving, too! All you have to do is log your activity on the Travel to Tokyo site every time you do some exercise.  Every step you take, every mile you run, every minute of play outside will bring you closer to Tokyo. So get active together, try new things, and most importantly: have fun!

All pupils have enjoyed and taken part in our Health and Well being week.  A mixture of activities have taken place both in school and at other venues.  On Friday we had a world cup theme and every class chose a team.  Pupils wore the colours of their team on this day.

The Friends of St Joseph’s have purchased books for all classes in the school.  The Friends work extremely hard fundraising to provide extra resources for your children.  We also appreciate our parents and families support for the events and fundraising activities that take place.   Pictured are children with our new books.
