Schools of Sanctuary support the thousands of young people seeking sanctuary in the UK, raises awareness of the issues facing people in the asylum system, challenges misconceptions and builds social cohesion.
At St. Joseph the Worker we are the first mainstream school in Knowsley to achieve the School of Sanctuary award.
What does a School of Sanctuary look like?

- Educates about why people are forcibly displaced.
- Recognises that the UK is enriched by new arrivals.
