School of Sanctuary

Schools of Sanctuary support  the thousands of young people seeking sanctuary in the UK, raises awareness of the issues facing people in the asylum system, challenges misconceptions and builds social cohesion.

At St. Joseph the Worker we have made a pledge to become a school of Sanctuary in the academic year 2023-2024

What does a School of Sanctuary look like?

  • Is a place of welcome for all
  • Educates about why people are forcibly displaced.
  • Recognises that the UK is enriched by new arrivals.
  • Supports pupils from all backgrounds to feel seen, supported and included

Please support and follow us on our journey.
