Mrs Ryan brought her Granny into school to talk about the past. However, before granny could begin, various visitors from the past appeared. These visitors had questions for each year group who will bring their answers to Friday’s Assembly. Then in the afternoon, Granddad came and went with Granny to answer questions from the Foundation Stage children. Everyone had a lovely time.
Year 1 shared a fabulous Assembly with families and the rest of the school. They gave everyone a special message to take away. Thank you to the parents for the lovely messages they left.
What another wonderful performance from our children at Young Voices. The children were so well behaved and sang beautifully. They may have been a bit tired after a long journey home but it was all worthwhile.
Year 2 visited Edge Hill University on Thursday 26th January to take part in a Lion Dance Workshop as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations. They learnt about activities taking place for the Year of the Rooster and took part in the Lion Dance
Years 3 and 4 entered a Gymnastics Competition at Kirkby High School on Monday 23rd January. The children met Beth Tweddle, British Olympic gymnast. They had an enjoyable afternoon and even came back with a medal.
There was a magnificent performance last night of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ by some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children. We are extremely proud of their acting and overwhelmed by their ability to learn and recite those difficult words with such skill and expression. Thank you to all the parents and family members who supported their children in learning the lines and bringing them along on an evening in November!
As part of anti bullying week, pupils dressed up as their hero.
