Health and Well Being Week
All pupils have enjoyed and taken part in our Health and Well being week. A mixture of activities have taken place both in school and at other venues. On Friday we had a world cup theme and every class chose a team. Pupils wore the colours of their team on this day.

Easter celebrations
We have had a lovely few days celebrating Easter with an Easter bonnet parade, Easter bingo, an Easter Egg hunt and an Easter Assembly. We wish everyone a happy Easter
New books donated by the Friends of St Joseph’s
The Friends of St Joseph’s have purchased books for all classes in the school.  The Friends work extremely hard fundraising to provide extra resources for your children.  We also appreciate our parents and families support for the events and fundraising activities that take place.  Pictured are children with our new books.
Much Ado
We are all very proud of the magnificent performances of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ over the past fortnight by some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children. We are extremely proud of their acting and overwhelmed by their ability to learn and recite those difficult words with such skill and expression. Thank you to all the parents and family members who supported their children in learning the lines, it is such a rich, powerful experience for everyone involved – something to always remember. We have had wonderful comments from many people which makes me so very proud! At the heart of the performance is Miss Gosney who never ceases to amaze us with her ability to produce such spectacular productions!
Children in Need
Thank you for supporting Children In Need. Nursery and Reception children have had a pyjama party with gingerbread biscuits and hot chocolate. The parent and toddler group joined the fun with the children colouring in lovely Pudsy pictures.
Thank you to Mrs O’Brien for donating cakes to sell at the Year 3 Assembly for Children in Need.
Sport for Champions Day
Children had a lovely day when Eden from Sport for Champions came to school. Pupils performed a series of exercises during the morning. Over £327 has been raised in sponsorship so far with more monies due in. Many thanks to everyone for your generosity for this good cause.
Macmillan Coffee morning
Many thanks to everyone who supported our Macmillan coffee morning either by joining us for coffee and cake, or by donating cakes or money to this worthwhile cause. Thank you also to Co-operative Funeralcare who donated the coffee, tea, sugar and milk for the coffee morning. Up to now we have raised nearly £200.
