IMPORTANT: partial school closure from Tuesday 5th January
From Tuesday 5th January, our school will move to a partial closure and will only be open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children in all classes from Nursery to Year 6 (see information at the foot of this message for the government definitions of vulnerable children and key workers children to check your eligibility)
All other children will access learning remotely and teachers will deliver learning via Google Drive in Years 1 to 6 and Tapestry for children in our Nursery and Reception classes.
We are taking this step to move to remote learning because the school is operationally compromised due to not having sufficient staff to supervise and safeguard the children in our care.
Please ensure that only those children deemed as vulnerable or the children of key workers attend school from Tuesday 5th January. All routines of staggered start and finish times, designated routes and entrances/exits around school will remain in place at this time.
I apologise for the unavoidable but short notice of this message and the potential disruption this may cause you. Our aim is to always ensure the safety and wellbeing of the staff and children at our school.
We will update you as the situation develops and keep you informed you of any changes as soon as we are able to.
As always, I thank you for your support and work in keeping us all safe at St Joseph’s and our wider school community.
Mrs Ryan, Headteacher
